Notifedia, Parepare – Penjabat (Pj) Wali Kota Parepare, Akbar Ali, diwakili oleh Staf Ahli Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Pemerintahan, Hj. Halwatiah S.kep, Nes, M.Kes, menghadiri dan memberikan sambutan pada Rapat Senat Terbuka Luar Biasa Wisuda Sarjana, Magister, dan Doktor Ke XXXVII Tahun 2024 Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare. Acara tersebut berlangsung di Gedung Islamic Center Parepare pada hari Senin. (20/5/24).
Dalam sambutannya yang dibacakan oleh Halwatiah, Akbar Ali menyampaikan apresiasinya kepada Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare atas kontribusi signifikan dalam mencetak generasi muda yang berpendidikan tinggi.
“Pendidikan adalah kunci untuk kemajuan dan pembangunan masyarakat. Saya berharap para wisudawan dapat mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah mereka peroleh untuk kemajuan Parepare dan bangsa Indonesia,” ujar Halwatiah.
Wisuda kali ini diikuti oleh ratusan mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi yang telah menyelesaikan pendidikan di tingkat Sarjana, Magister, dan Doktor. Para wisudawan tampak antusias mengikuti rangkaian acara yang berlangsung dengan khidmat.
Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare, Prof. Dr. H. Jamaluddin Ahmad, S.Sos., M.Si dalam pidatonya mengucapkan selamat kepada para wisudawan dan berpesan agar selalu menjaga nama baik almamater serta terus berkontribusi positif di tengah masyarakat.
“Kalian adalah kebanggaan kami, dan kami percaya bahwa ilmu yang kalian peroleh akan memberikan dampak besar di berbagai sektor,” tegasnya.
Acara wisuda ini juga dihadiri oleh berbagai tokoh masyarakat, orang tua wisudawan, serta para dosen dan staf Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare. Suasana penuh haru dan kebanggaan mewarnai acara tersebut, menandai pencapaian penting bagi para wisudawan.
Dengan terselenggaranya Rapat Senat Terbuka Luar Biasa ini, diharapkan para lulusan Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare dapat terus berkarya dan memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi kemajuan daerah dan negara.
