Notifedia.com, PAREPARE — Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, menghadiri pelantikan pengurus Persatuan Tenis Seluruh Indonesia (PELTI) Kota Parepare yang digelar di Auditorium BJ Habibie, Rabu (14/5/2025).
Kegiatan tersebut turut dihadiri Ketua PELTI Sulawesi Selatan yang juga Rektor Universitas Hasanuddin, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa, beserta rombongan. Selain itu, hadir pula unsur Forkopimda, Sekretaris Daerah Kota Parepare, perwakilan KONI, serta sejumlah pimpinan OPD terkait.
Dalam sambutannya, Wali Kota Tasming Hamid mengucapkan selamat kepada jajaran pengurus baru PELTI Parepare yang baru saja dilantik. Ia juga menyampaikan apresiasi atas dedikasi dan kontribusi yang telah diberikan oleh pengurus sebelumnya.
“Selamat kepada pengurus baru. Semoga dapat memberikan kontribusi terbaik untuk kemajuan olahraga tenis di Kota Parepare. Khususnya dalam upaya memasyarakatkan olahraga ini kepada semua kalangan,” ujar Tasming.
Tasming menegaskan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Parepare siap memberikan dukungan penuh terhadap pengembangan olahraga tenis, termasuk pemanfaatan fasilitas yang ada. Saat ini, tercatat sekitar 28 lapangan tenis tersebar di Kota Parepare yang dapat dimaksimalkan untuk pembinaan atlet.
“Menjelang pelaksanaan Porda di Wajo, kami berharap PELTI Parepare bisa berkontribusi secara maksimal. Lebih dari itu, penting juga untuk mencetak bibit-bibit unggul yang kelak menjadi penerus dan kebanggaan daerah,” tambah TSM -Akronimnya-
Tasming mengajak seluruh stakeholder untuk bersama-sama mendorong kemajuan olahraga tenis di Parepare melalui sinergi yang berkelanjutan antara pemerintah, organisasi, dan masyarakat.
