Notifedia.com, Sidrap — Pasar Lawawoi di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) menjadi sorotan positif sebagai contoh keberhasilan pengelolaan pasar rakyat tanpa dukungan dana Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD). Keberhasilan ini diraih berkat gotong royong dan partisipasi aktif para pedagang dalam mendukung perbaikan fasilitas dan kebersihan pasar.
Hal tersebut disampaikan langsung oleh Bupati Sidrap, Syaharuddin Alrif, saat memimpin rapat koordinasi bersama seluruh kepala pasar se-Kabupaten Sidrap, yang digelar di ruang kerjanya, lantai III Kantor Bupati, Kelurahan Batu Lappa, Kecamatan Watang Pulu, Senin (2/6/2025).
“Pasar Lawawoi adalah bukti nyata bahwa pengelolaan pasar bisa berhasil tanpa dana APBD. Dengan komunikasi yang baik dan kerja sama antara pemerintah dan pedagang, kita bisa menciptakan pasar yang bersih, nyaman, dan hidup,” ungkap Syaharuddin dalam arahannya.
Rapat yang turut dihadiri Asisten Ekonomi dan Pembangunan Siara Barang, Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Muhammad Yusuf, Kabag Ekonomi Rimba Najamuddin, Kabid Pengembangan Perdagangan Disdagrin Muhammad Akbar, serta sejumlah perwakilan instansi teknis lainnya, membahas langkah-langkah percepatan perbaikan pengelolaan pasar rakyat.
Menurut Syaharuddin, pembenahan pasar menjadi salah satu program prioritas pemerintah daerah sejak dirinya menjabat sebagai bupati. Namun, ia menyoroti masih adanya pasar yang kembali ke kondisi semula setelah sempat dibenahi.
“Ada pasar yang sudah dibersihkan dan ditata, tapi setelah beberapa bulan kembali kotor dan semrawut. Itu yang tidak boleh terjadi lagi. Kita butuh kerja nyata, bukan sekadar rutinitas,” tegasnya.
Ia juga menekankan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan pasar. Syaharuddin menyebut persoalan sampah masih menjadi keluhan utama masyarakat. Untuk itu, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup telah diminta untuk intensif melakukan pembersihan tiga kali sehari.
Namun, ia menekankan bahwa peran kepala pasar tetap menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan.
“Petugas kebersihan bisa kerja setiap hari, tapi kalau sistem pengelolaan di pasar tidak beres, tetap saja akan kumuh. Saya beri waktu satu bulan, para kepala pasar harus tunjukkan perubahan konkret,” tegasnya.
Asisten Ekonomi dan Pembangunan, Siara Barang, menambahkan bahwa capaian kinerja pasar juga harus sejalan dengan target pendapatan daerah (PAD). Ia menekankan pentingnya realisasi minimal 50 persen di pertengahan tahun ini.
“Pasar adalah sumber PAD yang vital. Kita tidak bisa hanya fokus pada operasional harian, tapi juga harus pikirkan dampaknya terhadap pendapatan daerah,” ujarnya.
Ia juga meminta kepala pasar untuk memperhatikan faktor pendukung kenyamanan seperti saluran air, drainase, dan penataan kios. “Banyak keluhan soal selokan tersumbat dan genangan air. Itu harus cepat ditangani sebelum menjadi masalah besar,” tegasnya.
Dengan menempatkan Pasar Lawawoi sebagai model, Pemkab Sidrap berharap semua pasar rakyat di wilayahnya bisa bertransformasi menjadi ruang publik yang sehat, tertib, dan berdaya saing, sehingga mampu mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat dari bawah.
