Notifedia.com, PAREPARE – Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, menghadiri sekaligus membuka kegiatan diskusi publik yang digelar Ikatan Cendekiawan Muslim Indonesia (ICMI) Orda Parepare dalam rangka memperingati Tahun Baru Islam 1447 Hijriah.
Kegiatan tersebut mengusung tema “Hijrah dan Revolusi Mental Masyarakat Madani” dan berlangsung di Auditorium BJ Habibie, Sabtu (5/07/2025).
Wali Kota Tasming Hamid menyampaikan apresiasi atas inisiatif ICMI Orda Parepare yang terus aktif memberikan kontribusi pemikiran strategis bagi kemajuan umat dan daerah. Menurutnya, ICMI sebagai organisasi keilmuan yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai keislaman memiliki peran penting dalam mendorong lahirnya gagasan konstruktif dan transformasi sosial.
“Saya meyakini bahwa forum seperti ini akan menghasilkan rumusan yang aplikatif, membumi, dan berpihak pada kemaslahatan umat. Di tengah era transformasi digital, dinamika sosial politik, serta tantangan dalam ketahanan ekonomi dan pendidikan, kita memerlukan narasi keilmuan yang kuat, etis, dan berkeadilan sosial,” ujar Tasming.
Ia juga berharap ICMI Orda Parepare dapat menjadi mitra strategis pemerintah dalam membina sumber daya manusia yang unggul, memperkuat etika sosial, dan menjunjung tinggi integritas dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan pengabdian masyarakat.
Sebagai bentuk kepedulian sosial, sebelum memulai sesi diskusi, ICMI Orda Parepare memberikan apresiasi berupa pemberian “gaji ke-13” kepada guru honorer non-sertifikasi sebagai wujud dukungan terhadap tenaga pendidik yang berjasa dalam membentuk generasi bangsa.
Kegiatan itu juga sebagai wadah refleksi sekaligus dialog produktif dalam menata masa depan masyarakat madani yang berkarakter dan berdaya saing.
