Parepare – Sebanyak 18 klub sepak bola dan tiga Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) di Kota Parepare menyampaikan petisi kepada Ketua Asosiasi Provinsi (Asprov) PSSI Sulawesi Selatan.
Petisi tersebut berisi permohonan untuk segera melaksanakan percepatan Kongres PSSI Kota Parepare. Petisi ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal untuk membangkitkan kembali gairah sepak bola Parepare yang dinilai mati suri.
Petisi ini diumumkan dalam konferensi pers yang diselenggarakan oleh komunitas klub sepak bola dan SSB Kota Parepare di R57 Mini Soccer, Sabtu (09/11/2024).
Sappe, sebagai juru bicara komunitas, menyampaikan bahwa percepatan kongres Askot PSSI Parepare sangat penting demi kemajuan sepak bola di kota tersebut.
“Kami berharap petisi ini bisa membawa perubahan bagi dunia sepak bola Parepare. Persipare punya sejarah indah di Sulsel sebagai peraih Habibie Cup setelah PSM Makassar, tapi saat ini seperti menghilang. Oleh karena itu, Kongres Askot PSSI harus segera dilaksanakan,” ujar Sappe.
Menurut Sappe, kondisi sepak bola di Parepare kini berada di titik nadir. Hal ini terlihat ketika anak-anak dari tim Soeratin U-15 harus berangkat ke Makassar secara mandiri untuk mewakili Parepare, tanpa dukungan finansial dari Askot PSSI.
“Kami merasa miris melihat kondisi anak-anak Soeratin U-15 yang membawa nama Parepare namun harus berangkat sendiri tanpa biaya dari Askot. Kondisi ini sangat disayangkan,” tambahnya.
Sappe juga menyoroti tidak maksimalnya peran Askot PSSI saat ini yang dipimpin oleh seorang pelaksana tugas (Plt), sehingga pembinaan sepak bola di Kota Parepare tidak berjalan optimal.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa anggaran yang dititipkan melalui dana hibah di KONI tidak dapat dicairkan karena belum ada pengurus definitif.“Anggaran yang dititipkan melalui dana hibah di KONI tidak bisa dicairkan jika belum ada pengurus definitif,” ujarnya.
Petisi tersebut akan disampaikan langsung kepada Asprov PSSI Sulsel dan ditembuskan ke PSSI pusat serta KONI Parepare. Komunitas berharap agar petisi ini segera ditindaklanjuti paling lambat dalam tiga hari kerja.
Alasan di Balik PetisiAda beberapa alasan mendasar yang melatarbelakangi petisi ini, antara lain:
1. Masa jabatan Ketua Askot PSSI Parepare telah berakhir sejak tahun 2023.
2. Masa jabatan Plt Ketua Askot PSSI Parepare telah berakhir sejak 25 September 2024.
3. Terbitnya Surat Keputusan Asprov PSSI Sulsel No SKEP/100.
4/ASPROV-PSSI/SS/IX-2024 yang menunjuk Rahmat Sjamsu Alam sebagai Plt Ketua Askot PSSI Parepare untuk melaksanakan kongres, namun hingga saat ini belum terlaksana.
Dengan adanya petisi ini, komunitas sepak bola Parepare berharap agar proses kongres segera dilaksanakan sehingga pengurus definitif dapat segera terbentuk dan dapat mengembalikan kejayaan sepak bola di Parepare.
