Tana Toraja – Menyongsong pelaksanaan Pilkada serentak yang akan digelar pada 27 November 2024 mendatang, dukungan dari berbagai elemen masyarakat di Kabupaten Tana Toraja semakin menguat.
Tokoh agama, tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, serta tokoh pemuda menyatakan kesiapan mereka untuk mendukung Polri dalam menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban selama tahapan Pilkada.
Seiring dengan dimulainya masa kampanye, pentingnya menjaga keamanan dan persatuan dalam masyarakat di tengah perbedaan pilihan politik menjadi sorotan utama.
Para tokoh masyarakat Kabupaten Tana Toraja, dalam pernyataan bersama, menegaskan bahwa persatuan dan kesatuan jauh lebih berharga daripada perbedaan pandangan politik yang muncul dalam pesta demokrasi ini.
Eric Crystal S. Ranteallo, S.Pi., M.H, seorang tokoh adat Tana Toraja, menekankan pentingnya menghargai keberagaman di Indonesia, terutama dalam konteks politik.
“Berbeda pilihan itu biasa, tetapi yang utama adalah menjaga budaya sipakatau, sipakainga, dan sipakalebbi. Budaya ini mengajarkan kita untuk saling menghormati, mengingatkan, dan memanusiakan manusia,” ujarnya. Falsafah hidup dari suku Bugis-Makassar dan Toraja ini dinilai sangat relevan untuk menciptakan suasana kondusif selama Pilkada.
Tokoh agama setempat, MH. Ahmad Toago, juga menekankan peran penting tokoh agama dalam menjaga kerukunan di tengah keberagaman agama, suku, dan budaya di Tana Toraja. “Tokoh agama memiliki tanggung jawab strategis dalam menjaga persatuan, terutama selama pelaksanaan Pemilu,” kata Ahmad Toago.
Hal senada disampaikan oleh Yulius Sumanto, seorang tokoh masyarakat, yang menyerukan agar seluruh warga bersinergi dalam mendukung pelaksanaan Pemilu yang damai dan demokratis.
“Kesuksesan Pilkada adalah tanggung jawab kita bersama. Mari kita jaga pesta demokrasi ini dari isu-isu hoax dan praktik politik uang yang bisa mencederai pelaksanaannya,” tegas Yulius.
Dengan dukungan penuh dari berbagai elemen masyarakat dan himbauan yang kuat dari para tokoh, harapan untuk mewujudkan Pilkada yang aman, damai, dan demokratis di Tana Toraja semakin terbuka lebar.
Semua pihak diharapkan dapat menjaga suasana kondusif dan tidak terprovokasi oleh perbedaan politik yang ada.
