MAKASSAR – Satuan Narkoba Polres Wajo berhasil mengamankan seorang terduga pengedar sabu-sabu di Kecamatan Tempe, Kabupaten Wajo.
Pelaku yang diketahui bernama Bebo ditangkap di sekitar area rumah adat Wajo pada awal Januari lalu. Saat ini, ia masih menjalani proses hukum di Mapolres Wajo.
Dari hasil penyelidikan, diketahui barang haram tersebut diduga merupakan bagian dari jaringan yang dikendalikan dari dalam Lapas Kota Pare.
Paket sabu itu disebut merupakan pesanan dari tahanan di Lapas Kota Palu.AD, salah satu warga setempat, membenarkan penangkapan tersebut. “Yang diamankan bernama Bebo, dia warga Tempe,” ujarnya singkat.
Menurut sumber terpercaya, Bebo mendapatkan barang haram itu dari seorang tahanan di Lapas Pare-pare yang terlibat kasus narkotika.
Lebih jauh, pelaku mengaku bahwa paket sabu tersebut berasal dari tahanan berinisial S alias Bambong, yang saat ini mendekam di Lapas Pare-pare.
Namun, laporan menyebut polisi belum melakukan pengembangan terhadap dugaan keterlibatan pihak lain dalam kasus ini. Ada indikasi permintaan uang dalam jumlah besar yang membuat pengusutan jaringan ini terhenti sementara.
Hingga berita ini diturunkan, pihak Satuan Reserse Narkoba Polres Wajo maupun Lapas Kota Pare belum memberikan keterangan resmi. Penyelidikan lebih lanjut masih terus dilakukan untuk mengungkap keterlibatan pihak-pihak lain dalam jaringan narkotika ini.
