    Pemkot Parepare Bakal Gelar Car Free Day dan Car Free Night di Kawasan PantaiKu

    Notifedia.com, Parepare – Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Parepare akan menghadirkan nuansa baru di kawasan PantaiKu, Jalan Mattirotasi, melalui pelaksanaan Car Free Day (CFD) dan Car Free Night (CFN). Program ini dijadwalkan diluncurkan secara resmi pada Sabtu, 5 Juli 2025 oleh Wali Kota Parepare, H. Tasming Hamid.

    Program zona bebas kendaraan ini akan menjadi ruang publik terbuka bagi masyarakat untuk berolahraga, berekreasi, hingga mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. CFD akan digelar setiap Minggu pagi, mulai pukul 05.00 hingga 12.00 WITA, sedangkan CFN dijadwalkan berlangsung setiap malam akhir pekan mulai pukul 18.00 hingga 00.00 WITA.

    “Program ini tidak hanya mendorong gaya hidup sehat dan lingkungan yang lebih bersih, tapi juga sebagai sarana pemberdayaan UMKM lokal,” ujar Tasming Hamid, yang juga merupakan Ketua DPD Partai NasDem Parepare, Senin (1/7/2025).

    Untuk mendukung kelancaran pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, Pemkot Parepare telah berkoordinasi dengan Satuan Lalu Lintas (Lantas) dan Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) dalam menyusun rekayasa lalu lintas dan pengaturan parkir selama kegiatan berlangsung.

    Mantan Wakil Ketua DPRD Parepare itu mengungkapkan, kegiatan CFD dan CFN juga akan dimanfaatkan sebagai wadah penguatan ekonomi kerakyatan. Pelaku UMKM yang telah terdaftar akan disiapkan tempat di sisi barat jalan yang menghadap ke laut, sementara sisi timur akan difungsikan sebagai lintasan jogging track.

    “Launching pada 5 Juli nanti juga akan menandai dimulainya pemanfaatan eks Pasar Seni sebagai pusat aktivitas UMKM,” jelas Tasming.

    Pada tahap awal, CFD dan CFN akan diterapkan sebagai uji coba satu kali setiap bulan. Jika pelaksanaannya berjalan lancar tanpa kendala berarti, maka kegiatan ini akan dijadwalkan secara rutin dan berkala.

    Tasming berharap kegiatan ini mendapat sambutan positif dan partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat. Ia juga menekankan pentingnya sosialisasi yang masif agar publik mengetahui jadwal serta potensi dampak kegiatan tersebut, terutama terkait penutupan jalan.

    “Kami harap masyarakat bisa ikut serta dan menikmati kegiatan ini. Sosialisasi juga harus masif agar masyarakat tidak hanya siap tapi juga merasa memiliki program ini,” tandasnya.

    Dengan adanya CFD dan CFN, kawasan PantaiKu diharapkan menjelma menjadi wajah baru kota Parepare sebagai ruang publik yang tidak hanya estetis dan ramah lingkungan, tapi juga menjadi pusat kegiatan sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi yang dinamis.
