Notifedia.com, Sidrap – Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) mencatatkan diri sebagai daerah tercepat di Sulawesi Selatan yang menuntaskan vaksinasi Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) pada ternak, dengan realisasi penuh 10 ribu dosis per 1 September 2025.
Tahun ini, Sidrap mendapat alokasi vaksin PMK dari Kementerian Pertanian sebanyak 10 ribu dosis, terdiri atas 4.000 dosis tahap I dan 6.000 dosis tahap II.
Vaksinasi tahap I berlangsung 21 Januari–13 Maret 2025, sementara tahap II (booster) dilaksanakan 21 Juli–1 September 2025.
“Alhamdulillah, Sidrap menjadi daerah tercepat menyelesaikan realisasi vaksinasi tahap II per 1 September 2025. Kegiatan ini tercatat secara real time melalui aplikasi iSIKHNAS Kementerian Pertanian,” jelas Kabid Pembibitan dan Kesehatan Hewan Dinas Peternakan dan Perikanan Sidrap, Haris Alimin, Senin (1/9/2025).
Menurutnya, tingginya animo peternak pada tahap II tidak lepas dari meningkatnya kasus PMK pada April–Juni 2025, saat banyak ternak baru masuk Sidrap dari daerah lain menjelang Iduladha.
“Tercatat 1.102 kasus PMK yang terlapor di iSIKHNAS,” sebut Haris.
Ia menambahkan, seluruh ternak tersebut dinyatakan sembuh setelah mendapat intervensi berupa penyuntikan antibiotik dan vitamin oleh petugas pelayanan kesehatan hewan bersama penyuluh, serta disertai penyemprotan disinfektan rutin oleh peternak.
Sementara itu, Kadisnakkan Sidrap Suharya Angriani menyampaikan apresiasi kepada seluruh paramedik, medik veteriner, penyuluh peternakan, petugas inseminasi buatan (IB), dan petugas lapangan lainnya.
“Semoga pelayanan vaksinasi ini bermanfaat menjaga populasi ternak dari ancaman PMK, serta menjadi ladang amal untuk kita semua,” ucapnya.
Vaksinasi PMK berlangsung serentak di 11 kecamatan, dimonitor langsung oleh Kepala Dinas Peternakan bersama Kabid Pembibitan dan Kesehatan Hewan. Sementara penanggung jawab lapangan adalah drh. Emy Purnomo.
Bupati Sidrap, H. Syaharuddin Alrif, juga memantau jalannya program tersebut. Ia menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi dan sinergi seluruh pihak agar pelayanan kepada masyarakat peternak berjalan maksimal.
Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) sendiri merupakan penyakit menular pada ternak ruminansia seperti sapi, kerbau, dan kambing. Penyakit ini disebabkan virus yang mudah menular dan berisiko menimbulkan kerugian besar bagi peternak.
