    Notifedia.com, Parepare – Ajang Pra Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Pra Porprov) Sulawesi Selatan 2025 cabang olahraga (cabor) biliard resmi dimulai di Kota Parepare. Pembukaan sekaligus dirangkaikan dengan turnamen Piala Wali Kota Parepare, yang berlangsung penuh semangat dan kebersamaan, Senin (23/9/2025).

    Pembukaan juga di hadiri Wakapolres Parepare, Ketua KONI Parepare, Perwakilan Disporapar Sulsel, Pengurus POBSI Sulsel.

    Kepala Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kota Parepare, Iskandar Nusu, hadir mewakili Wali Kota Parepare,  Tasming Hamid, yang berhalangan hadir karena bersamaan dengan agenda penting penetapan APBD Perubahan 2025 di DPRD Parepare.

    Dalam sambutannya, Iskandar menyampaikan apresiasi dan rasa terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang mendukung terselenggaranya ajang bergengsi ini.

    “Atas nama Pemerintah Kota Parepare, kami menyampaikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada POBSI Sulawesi Selatan, POBSI Kota Parepare, panitia, serta seluruh pihak yang telah bekerja keras menyukseskan acara ini. Kami juga mengucapkan selamat datang kepada seluruh atlet, ofisial, dan rombongan dari berbagai kabupaten/kota di Sulawesi Selatan. Menjadi tuan rumah Pra Porprov 2025 merupakan kehormatan besar bagi Parepare,” ujarnya.

    Iskandar menegaskan bahwa ajang Pra Porprov dan Piala Wali Kota Parepare bukan sekadar kompetisi, melainkan wadah pembinaan mental, disiplin, dan persahabatan bagi para atlet.

    “Kami berharap turnamen ini dapat melahirkan atlet-atlet biliar berprestasi yang mampu mengharumkan nama daerah di tingkat nasional hingga internasional. Mari junjung tinggi sportivitas, karena di luar meja pertandingan kita semua adalah saudara,” pesannya.

    Sekretaris Karateker POBSI Sulsel, Felix ligianto. Mewakili Ketua Karateker, Hamka Jaya, menyampaikan dukungan penuh atas pelaksanaan Pra Porprov 2025 di Parepare.

    “Kami berterima kasih kepada Kota Parepare yang menjadi tuan rumah. Semoga ajang ini menjadi momentum penting untuk melahirkan atlet-atlet biliard potensial yang dapat mewakili Sulawesi Selatan pada ajang yang lebih tinggi,” katanya.

    Ketua Panitia, AKP Agus Purwanto, juga menyampaikan apresiasinya atas antusiasme peserta dan dukungan seluruh pihak.

    “Terima kasih kepada Pemerintah Kota Parepare, POBSI, aparat keamanan, dan semua pihak yang terlibat. Kami akan berusaha maksimal agar turnamen ini berjalan lancar, tertib, dan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas.     Selain biliar, Kota Parepare juga dipercaya sebagai tuan rumah beberapa cabor lain dalam rangkaian Pra Porprov 2025, di antaranya balap sepeda, tinju, bina raga, dan pencak silat.

    Kolaborasi antara Pemerintah Kota Parepare dan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam menyukseskan event ini mendapat apresiasi luas, termasuk dari para panitia, kepolisian, serta komunitas olahraga di daerah.

    Dengan mengucapkan Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, secara resmi ajang Piala Wali Kota Parepare yang dirangkaikan dengan Pra Porprov XVIII Sulsel Cabor Biliar 2025 dinyatakan dibuka. Ucap Kadispora Parepare.
