Notifedia.com, MAKASSAR — Wali Kota Parepare, Tasming Hamid, menyatakan komitmennya untuk mendukung Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (Pemprov Sulsel) dalam upaya percepatan penurunan angka stunting di daerah.
Hal itu disampaikan Tasming usai menghadiri puncak peringatan Hari Keluarga Nasional (Harganas) 2025 di Lapangan Karebosi, Makassar, Senin (28/7/2025).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, mengungkapkan bahwa Pemprov Sulsel telah mengikuti arahan Pemerintah Pusat untuk menggeser anggaran nonprioritas ke sektor prioritas, salah satunya untuk penanganan stunting. Sebesar Rp26 miliar telah dialokasikan untuk program ini, yang menyasar 15.120 sasaran penerima pendampingan dan bantuan makanan tambahan.
Menanggapi hal itu, Wali Kota Parepare menyatakan dukungan penuh terhadap langkah tersebut.
“Kami di Parepare tentu sangat mendukung program prioritas ini. Penanganan stunting merupakan tanggung jawab bersama. Pemkot Parepare akan bersinergi dengan seluruh pihak untuk memastikan anak-anak kita tumbuh sehat dan berkualitas,” ujar Tasming Hamid.
Ia menjelaskan, Pemerintah Kota Parepare juga telah mengambil langkah konkret dalam penanganan stunting. Salah satunya melalui peran aktif Tim Penggerak PKK yang secara rutin memberikan asupan tambahan gizi bagi balita yang terindikasi stunting.
“Pemkot Parepare tentu menyesuaikan dengan kebijakan pemerintah pusat terkait penurunan stunting. Kita berkomitmen untuk sejalan dan memperkuat program-program tersebut di tingkat daerah,” tambahnya.
Tasming juga menekankan bahwa peringatan Harganas menjadi momentum strategis untuk memperkuat peran keluarga sebagai fondasi utama pembangunan bangsa.
“Melalui momentum Harganas, kita diingatkan kembali bahwa keluarga adalah pondasi utama kemajuan bangsa. Jika seluruh elemen bersatu, maka perubahan besar bisa dimulai dari lingkup terkecil, yakni keluarga,” pungkasnya.
