Parepare – Pemerintah Kota Parepare, melalui Dinas Kepemudaan Olahraga dan Pariwisata, menggelar serangkaian acara dalam rangka memeriahkan Hari Ulang Tahun Republik Indonesia (HUT RI) ke-79.
Setelah sukses menyelenggarakan gerak jalan, semarak perayaan HUT RI dilanjutkan dengan lomba drumband dan tarik tambang yang dipusatkan di Lapangan Kota, Jalan Binalipu, Kelurahan Bumi Harapan, Kecamatan Bacukiki Barat.Jum’at, (9/8/24).
Kepala Dinas Kepemudaan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kota Parepare, HM Iskandar Nusu, mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan ini akan berlangsung selama dua hari, yakni pada tanggal 10 dan 11 Agustus 2024.
“Lomba drumband ini akan diikuti oleh 35 sekolah, terdiri dari 20 sekolah tingkat SD, 11 sekolah tingkat SMP, dan 4 sekolah tingkat SMA,” jelas Iskandar.
Tidak hanya itu, acara ini juga dirangkaikan dengan lomba tarik tambang yang akan diikuti oleh perwakilan dari setiap kelurahan yang ada di Kota Parepare. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme serta mempererat persatuan di antara warga Parepare.
Perayaan HUT RI di Kota Parepare tahun ini diwarnai dengan antusiasme tinggi dari masyarakat, terutama para pelajar yang terlibat aktif dalam berbagai perlombaan. Diharapkan, acara ini dapat berjalan lancar dan memberikan hiburan sekaligus membangkitkan semangat cinta tanah air di kalangan masyarakat Parepare.
