“Bubarkan saja Pesantren seluruh indonesia, Ga ada manfaatnya bagi Negara dan bangsa” Sebuah hinaan yang dilontarkan untuk pondok pesantren dari mereka yang sama tidak pernah merasakan nikmatnya kehidupan di pesantren.
Beberapa hari lalu terlepas dari tragedi yang menimpah pondok pesantren al khoziny, kini marak tudingan atas perbudakan yang dialami para santri dipesantren, dan tidak memiliki kebebasan akan tetapi semua itu hanya pandangan seseorang yang hanya melihat pesantren dari bagian luarnya saja.
Pondok pesantren bukan hanya sebagai wadah untuk menimbah ilmu keagamaan akan tetapi juga sebagai wadah untuk mengajarkan nilai kemandirian, kebersamaan, kedisiplinan, kemandirian, dan juga pengabdian.
Di pesantren konteks pengabdian bukanlah sebuah perbudakan melainkan mencari keberkahan, sudah menjadi tradisi turun temurun telah diterapkan sehingga itulah yang membentuk jiwa kebersamaan para santri.
Dalam kehidupan pesantren pun para santri tidak hanya menuntut ilmu agama, akan tetapi juga diajarkan untuk merawat dan menjaga pesantren, hal itu pun tidak membuat para santri merasa terbebani malahan ia merasa senang dapat ikut andil dalam melayani dan membantu gurunya.
Kenapa perbudakan?, karena orang yang hanya melihat dari luarnya saja dan tidak pernah merasakan bagaimana kehidupan yang sebenarnya dalam lingkungan pesantren.
Maka ungkapan yang menyebutkan bahwa “Perbudakan dalam lingkup pesantren” itu tidaklah benar, pesantren justru menjadi wadah yang dapat melahirkan para mujahid dari sinilah para santri تبرك (mengharap keberkahan) pesantren agar kelak dapat menjadi bekal saat terjun ke lingkungan luar.
