Hal itu disampaikannya saat menghadiri kegiatan demonstration plot (demplot) mesin panen padi combine harvester yang digelar PT Artapadi Multi Sarana Cabang Sidrap di Kelurahan Arawa, Kecamatan Watang Pulu, Kamis (21/8/2025).
Turut hadir Manager PT Artapadi Multi Sarana Cabang Sidrap, Barfin, Kabid Penyuluhan Dinas Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura, Perkebunan dan Ketahanan Pangan Sidrap, H. Muhammad Zainal, dan Camat Watang Pulu, H. Hidayatullah Abbas.
Tampak pula Lurah Batulappa, Lurah Arawa, unsur Forkopimcam, PPK, PPL se-Kecamatan Watang Pulu, ketua kelompok tani, petani, serta undangan lainnya.
“Terima kasih kepada PT Artapadi Multi Sarana yang telah hadir di Sidrap dan membantu petani dalam memfasilitasi penyediaan alat mesin pertanian. Tahun ini hingga lima tahun ke depan, saya berkomitmen meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat melalui sektor pertanian. Jika sebelumnya petani hanya menanam dua kali setahun, kini dengan sistem IP 300 dapat menanam hingga tiga kali setahun,” ungkapnya.
Ia juga menuturkan sedang mengupayakan kerja sama dengan PT Semen Indonesia terkait pemanfaatan sampah dan jerami sebagai bahan bakar alternatif.
“Semoga langkah ini berhasil, agar petani kita semakin maju dan sejahtera,” tambahnya.
Sementara itu, Direktur PT Artapadi Multi Sarana Cabang Sidrap, Nasruddin Anas, menyebut kehadiran perusahaan ini di Sidrap merupakan langkah strategis mendukung modernisasi pertanian.
“Acara ini menjadi momen penting bagi kami untuk memperkenalkan PT Artapadi Multi Sarana sebagai dealer resmi mesin pertanian Zoomlion. Setelah peresmian cabang kemarin, hari ini kami langsung menggelar demo unit perdana. Alsintan modern ini mampu meminimalisir penggunaan tenaga kerja, bahkan sekali jalan tanpa jeda bisa menampung lebih dari satu ton gabah,” jelasnya.
