Notifedia.com, Parepare – RS Hasri Ainun Habibie Parepare sudah melayani 146 pasien operasi bedah otak. Angka itu merupakan akumulasi selama lima bulan sejak dibukanya pada awal Januari 2025 lalu.
“Dibuka di awal Januari tahun 2025, layanan operasi bedah saraf atau bedah otak RS HasriAinun Habibie Parepare telah melakukan 146 prosedur bedah otak,” ungkap Direktur RS Hasri Ainun Habibie, dr Mahyuddin, Minggu (1/6/2025).
Mahyuddin menjelaskan, kasus paling banyak adalah pendarahan otak karena kecelakaan disusul kasus stroke perdarahan. Kasus tersebut kini bisa ditangani di Parepare yang sebelumnya hanya ada di rumah sakit Makassar.
“Selama ini kasus perdarahan otak seperti di atas harus dirujuk ke Makassar, namun sejak januari 2025 masyarakat sudah bisa mengakses layanan ini di RS Hasri Ainun Habibie Parepare,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, operasi itu bukan perkara mudah dalam dunia kesehatan. Operasi bedah otak memerlukan tindakan yang rumit.
“Operasi bedah otak ini merupakan tindakan operasi yang rumit. Karena harus melakukan pengangkatan sementara tulang tengkorak,” ujarnya.
Layanan ini tidak hanya untuk masyarakat Parepare, tapi juga sekitar kawasan Ajatappareng hingga pulau Kalimantan. “Pasien yang ditangani ada dari berbagai daerah seperti Barru, Sidrap, Pinrang, Enrekang bahkan dari Kalimantan,” ucapnya.
Mahyuddin menjelaskan tingginya jumlah kasus perdarahan otak yang menjalani tindakan operasi di RS dipicu angka kecelakaan yang meningkat. Saat ini, baru RS Hasri Ainun yang membuka layanan bedah otak di Ajatappareng.
“Sehingga kasus yang kami tindaki juga banyak. Kami berharap bisa membantu lebih banyak lagi masyarakat. Sehingga tidak perlu lagi dirujuk seperti sebelumnya,” imbuhnya.
Layanan operasi bedah otak didukung penuh Wali Kota Parepare Tasming Hamid serta Kemenkes RI. Atas dukungan tersebut, RS Hasri Ainun Habibie sebagai rujukan kasus otak.
“Insyaallah tahun ini rumah sakit kami akan mendapatkan Cathlab seri terbaru. Sebuah alat canggih bernilai puluhan miliar,” ujarnya.
“Nantinya alat itu akan difungsikan untuk kasus perdarahan atau penyumbatan pembuluh darah otak. Sehingga lebih banyak masyarakat yang bisa terbantu,” pungkasnya.
